Does having long hair?

make you hair fall out more?, how many hairs roughly do you see in the bath when you wash your hair/depending on how often you wash your hair.

last night i had really itchy hair (no its not nits) but a dry scalp maybe. and when i washed my hair this morning tons of hair fell out?

Does having long hair?

maybe it falls out the same amount, but because they are longer you see them more

Does having long hair?

It might be the case since it pulls out easier when I comb my hair

Does having long hair?

Not in the sense you're talking about.

Does having long hair?

i think that this is true as well as when i used to have long hair it appeared that loads more fell out than normal. Perhaps it just gets to a point where it is so dry or something that it naturally comes out more? Not sure why - we need a hair dresser to answer this one a bit better! But i have found the same x

Does having long hair?

i have long hair i don't really lose alot only when i straighten it

Does having long hair?

No it makes no difference, it is just more noticable when it is long. For example, 6 long hairs looks a lot more than 6 short hairs. Go to http://www.bad.org.uk/public/skin/growth... for more information on hair loss.

For the itchy scalp, try T Gel shampoo, it contains tea treee oil and really helps sooth a dry itchy scalp. if that doesn't work, see your doctor as it could be Seborrheic dermatitis, which can also cause temporary hair loss.

a normallly at least 100 hairs should fall per day according to the life cycle of a normal growning hair.

i used to freak out as well when i c my hair in the bath(my hair is past my waist now) but then i learnd that fact and stopped worryin :)

i dnt knw if there is any relation between itchy scalps and fallin hair, i think its got nothin to do wid each other, merely a coincidence.

Does having long hair?

this can be true for people who have week hair. the people who have strong hair have no such problem. you should cut your hair short and work on the strength of your hair first.

If u have recurring hair loss problems u can visit

From what I've heard, I think if you lose %26gt;100 hairs a day, that is pathological.

Maybe the shampoo %26amp; conditioner you use are irritating your scalp or it may even be dandruff, which is in high prevalence!

In that case you might have to change to a medicated anti-dandruff hare care products.

If not your body maybe lacking a nutrient for healthy hair.

These are the common causes, but there are serious ones too.

Anyway, why don't you try the link I've given below %26amp; see whether it helps. If it really bothers you....go see a doctor.

Does having long hair?

its probably not fallin out, its just that the hair is older and dryer so is more brittle. try doing a hot oil conditioner on your hair, you can get ones specially for long hair and it deep conditions, makes your hair stronger and your hair will look fantastic! Try VO5 hot oil, every 2 weeks, and hopefully you should see a difference, i did.

Does having long hair?

everybody is different my hair is short and some days im ok and others it falls out.it depends with me if i have my hair curly or up in a bobble loads.

Does having long hair?

it falls out at the same rate as short hair but because its longer it looks like your losing more.i asked my hair dresser cause i was worried about the same problem

Does having long hair?

No, having long hair does not make it fall out more.

The average person loses 100 strands of hair a day. You can use a conditioner to help keep your hair and scalp from drying out everytime you wash your hair, you may also want to try an intense conditioner twice a month.

You may also want to speak to a dermatologist and ask them what the cause of your itchy, dry scalp is.

Does having long hair?

I don't think it makes your hair fall out more. It looks like loads comes out when I brush my hair, but it's only because each strand is really long. It does make it easier to snap your hair though because it gets so tangled. As for the itchy scalp, it could be related but it's probably just a bad choice of shampoo. Try a different one for a week or two and see if it helps.
